On 7 December, British Ambassador Judith Farnworth, UK Deputy Defence Attaché Will George and representatives of the UK’s International Rescue Corps paid tribute to the victims of the 1988 earthquake by laying a wreath at a memorial outside of the Holy Savior’s Church in Gyumri.
“30 years on, moving event in Gyumri to remember victims of Spitak earthquake and unprecedented international response,” Ambassador Farnworth tweeted.
