Russian President Vladimir Putin held phone talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed Tel Aviv’s operation on the line with Lebanon, as well as military cooperation between the two countries, Kremlin press service reported.

Netanyahu reportedly briefed Netanyahu about the details of the operation conducted by the Israeli armed forces along the Israeli-Lebanese line.

The Russian side highlighted the importance of ensuring stability in the region in accordance with UN Security Council resolution 1701. The Syrian settlement was also touched upon.
