The European Union will provide Armenia 40 million euros for the development of the northern regions, head of the EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski said during the “Empowering Regions through High Tech-Forum 2018” conference at the Gyumri Technology Center.
According to him, the corresponding financing agreement will be signed in the near future. The funds will be directed to business development in Shirak, Tavush and Lori provinces.
The EU intends to assist Armenia in the issue of eliminating the disproportionate development of the regions, Switalski added.
