YEREVAN. – As of Sunday 11:00 am, the voter turnout in the National Assembly election in Armenia was 7.76 percent of eligible voters, Deputy Chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Laura Galstyan said during a briefing.
Overall, 7.86 %of voters (or (66, 704) cast their ballot in capital city Yerevan, 5.36 % (6,670) in Gyumri and 9.06% (7,763) in Vanadzor.
Two blocs and nine parties are running in the elections. Among them are “My Step” bloc, “We” bloc, the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Orinats Yerkir, Bright Armenia, Sasna Tsrer party, Christian-Democratic Party, Citizens’ Decision party and National Progress party.
