YEREVAN. – Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Tigran Mukuchyan, on Monday summed up the preliminary results of Sunday’s snap National Assembly election in Armenia.

According to the respective data which Mukuchyan issued, the total number of eligible voters in the country was 2,591,276, but the voter turnout on election day was 1,262,164 (48.67%).

And the number of ballots that were cast in favor of the political forces which were running for parliament is as follows:

Republican Party of Armenia: 59,068 votes (4.7%), “Citizen’s Decision” Social Democratic Party: 8,533 (0.68%), Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party: 48,822 (3.89%), My Step Alliance: 884,849 (70.44%), Bright Armenia Party: 80,049 (6.37%), Christian-Democratic Rebirth Party: 6,460 (0.51%), National Progress Party: 4,122 (0.33%), “We” (Menk) Alliance: 25,174 (2%), Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party: 12,390 (0.99%), Sasna Tsrer Pan-Armenian Party: 22,868 (1.82%), and Prosperous Armenia Party: 103,837 (8.27%).
