Iranian Armed Forces confirmed that it had carried out ballistic missile tests, AFP reported.

"We are continuing our missile tests and this recent one was a significant test," the Fars news agency reported, referring yo Revolutionary Guards aerospace commander Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh.

According to him, “the US reaction showed that it was a big thing for them and that it upset them.”

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo states that Tehran had conducted a medium-range ballistic missile test, contrary to UN Security Council resolution.

According to Iran's FM Mohammad Javad Zarif, his country has no atomic weapons and does not design missiles with nuclear warheads, thus Tehran does not violate the UN Security Council resolution.
