Turkey is holding talks on possible UN investigation into the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Former Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

He added that they had discussed the matter with the UN Secretary General and would continue discussions, AFP reported.

The UN has to receive a formal request which then has to be approved by the UN Security Council before any UN investigation could begin.
