The presidents of Turkey and the United States discussed by phone the future military operation in Syria’s east, Erdogan’s aide Ibrahim Kalin told reporters.

Erdogan said that Turkey is concerned about the strengthening of Kurdish militants'position in the Syrian territory near its border and is not going to leave these actions unanswered, RIA Novosti reported.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that Ankara is ready to launch an operation in Syria’s Manbij against Kurdish Self-Defense Forces (YPG) unless the United States withdraw them from there. Erdogan discussed the situation in Syria with U.S. President Donald Trump on the same day.
