Google and Facebook have agreed to pay $455 thousand in response to two lawsuits filed in June that accused the tech firms of not obeying the state law on political-ad transparency, the New York Times reported.

According to the source, Google will pay $217,000 and Facebook will pay $238,000.

In June, lawsuits were filed against companies for not complying with the law of Washington, which prescribes collecting, storing and publishing information about those who order political advertising.

Facebook and Twitter have changed the rules for political-ad amid Russian interference in the 2016 US elections.
