YEREVAN. – Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he cannot comment on the dismissal of former Artsakh Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan by virtue of circumstances.

However, he added that the concerns over the impact that changes might have on the combat readiness of the Artsakh army “are very bad remarks addressed to our army”.

“Who are the new appointees? They are old-timers, they are people who have been serving in the armed forces all their lives. They stood at the origins of the Artsakh Liberation War,” he said.

On December 14 the President of Artsakh signed a decree to relieve Mnatsakanyan of his duties.
