Armenian community is not engaged in the Lebanese protests, Aztag newspaper edior-in-chief Shahan Kandaharian told Armenian News - NEWS.am.

According to him, protests do not affect either national or political issues.

“Protests do not have political connotations, and do not affect the interests of the Armenian community. The actions mainly take place in the north of the country and in Beirut amid the death of a Palestinian child,” he said.

Touching upon the political crisis in the country, Shahan Kandaharian said the issue would be solved soon.

As reported earlier, mass anti-government protests began after the 3-year-old Palestinian child Mohamed Wahba was pronounced dead in Tripoli, north of Lebanon, after he was denied admission into a local hospital.
