The deal with the US for the supply of Patriot missiles to Turkey will not affect Ankara-Moscow agreement on the Russian S-400 air defense system, the spokesperson for Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“These are unrelated processes,” said Peskov.
According to him, the contract for the supply of S-400s is underway, RBK reported.
He noted that military and technical cooperation between Russia and other countries is accompanied by legal obligations to non-disclosure of “sensitive information”.
As reported earlier, the US State Department has approved the sale of a Patriot MIM-104E anti-aircraft missile system to Turkey.
