The post of CSTO Secretary General will anyway pass to the next member of the Organization in 2020, Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this during a conversation with journalists in Dilijan on December 19.
According to him, discussions are now being held on the procedure for electing the CSTO Secretary General for the next 9-10 years.
Issue on the appointment of CSTO secretary general is not the most important one, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted.
“I have told it several times. I will ask you to pay attention to the content of my response – the post of the CSTO secretary general is not the most important issue, as it is just a temporary post,” Pashinyan said.
He said the most important thing is the content of the future works in the organization.
“Let me say that we have already solved the issue as a very serious conversation has taken place in the CSTO which did not take place even since the day of its foundation,” he said.
