The Ombudsman Office of Armenia delivered an extraordinary joint report with the UNHCR Office of Armenia on ensuring the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.
According to Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan, cooperation with the Migration Service has a traditional nature and “we are glad to contribute to the solution of existing tasks.”
Anna-Carin Öst, the representative of the UNHCR Office in Yerevan, highlighted the positive legislative changes on ensuring the rights of refugees. Meanwhile she added, that a number of issues need to be addressed.
The Head of the Migration Service Armen Ghazaryan recalled that Armenia had recently joined two international declarations aimed at protecting the rights of refugees and asylum seekers.
