The deadline is not decided to sign the CSTO Collective Security Council decision on appointment of the new CSTO Secretary General, and all leaders of the member countries of the organization must sign this document, CSTO Secretariat press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told RIA Novosti.

As reported earlier, President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday held a working meeting with State Secretary Stanislav Zas  of the Security Council of Belarus, and he signed the CSTO Collective Security Council draft decision on appointing Zas as the new secretary general of this organization.

“Leaders of the six [CSTO member] states [including Armenia] must sign this decision,” Zainetdinov said. “The Secretary General [of this organization] is appointed with consensus by leaders of the six states.”

Also as reported earlier, Stanislav Zas  on Friday stated that he was ready to hold talks in Armenia, too, and he hoped to achieve consensus on his appointment as the new CSTO chief.
