YEREVAN. – I believe the gas price will not rise.

The Acting Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Garegin Baghramyan, on Thursday told the aforesaid to reporters.

When asked about the accuracy of the information that the price of the Russian natural gas being supplied to Armenia will increase, Baghramyan responded: “I don’t think it will increase. But let’s wait for the end of the [respective] negotiations [Thursday in Moscow, between Armenia’s Acting PM Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin].”

The Armenian official stressed that even though he did not know Russia’s position on this matter, Armenia was negotiating to reduce the natural gas tariff.

“Lowering the tariff shall be the best result for us [Armenia],” Garegin Baghramyan added, in particular.
