The meeting between acting Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Russian president Vladimir Putin has kicked off in Moscow.
During the meeting, Putin noted that Moscow and Yerevan should maintain cooperation in the field of security, through the CSTO and other integration associations, RIA Novosti reported.
“I think the dynamics is good, and it should be maintained. We are ready to do this, we will do our best to ensure that this level of relations is maintained not only in this area (in the economy), but also in other areas,” Putin said referring to the security sphere and cooperation within CSTO.
According to him, the leaders will talk about planned cooperation in the economy within the Eurasian Economic Union.
Welcoming Pashinyan in Kremlin, Putin noted that this was the first visit of the acting Prime Minister to Russia after the victory of his party in the snap elections.
Pashinyan, in his turn, confirmed that Armenia intends to develop relations with the Russia in all areas, and is positively set to integrate within the Eurasian Economic Union.
“We are also waiting for your official visit to Armenia next year,” Pashinyan said at a meeting with Putin in Kremlin.
