The single currency is a distant prospect for the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), said President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Zakon.kz reported.
“As for the single currency in the EAEU, no one seriously talked about this topic at all. This is good, but we are still far from this, ”he said in a traditional pre-New Year interview with Kazakhstani media.
According to him, in order to introduce a single currency, countries need to be at about the same economic level.
