An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred on Thursday in China's southwestern Sichuan province.
Only a person was injured as a result of the earthquake, while the authorities evacuated over 220 people. The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of 15 kilometers.
A total of 689 households were slightly damaged.
According to preliminary estimates, direct economic damage was estimated at the amount of 19.5 million yuan ($ 2.8 million).
