Karen Sarukhanyan, the governor of Shirak Province, has informed about his decision to accept the parliamentary seat he has won in the recent snap election in Armenia.

“Considering the effective work done in recent months in the province and the principled script of our political team, a joint decision has been taken, and I will continue my activities in the National Assembly,” Sarukhanyan wrote, in particular, on Facebook. “Being well aware of the problems of the province, I see their solutions in the legislative arena.”
