YEREVAN. – At its first Cabinet meeting of the year, the Government of Armenia has decided to get as donation from the capital city Yerevan Municipality a three-hectare plot of land, and to add it to the properties of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies.
The ministry, in turn, will donate territories from this plot of land to organizations, and for the creation of an Engineering City in the area.
Acting Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, Hakob Arshakyan, noted that this was about a $21mn worth project.
He added that this Engineering City—with respective constructed buildings—shall be ready by the end of 2020.
