The OSCE will work to harness opportunities created by positive momentums in the Karabakh and Transdniestrian settlement, Slovakian Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Miroslav Lajcak said.

Miroslav Lajcak briefed the OSCE Permanent Council on the priorities of Slovakian chairmanship.

The chairmanship will focus on how conflict is mediated, resolved and prevented, and we need to prepare for “a Safer Future”, he said.

“The major challenges facing OSCE region today - and, indeed, the wider world - demand more cooperation and more dialogue than ever before. Yet, as the demand for multilateralism rises, we are seeing it come under increasing threat,” Slovakian FM added.
