YEREVAN. – Deputy from Prosperous Armenia party Naira Zohrabyan said she is concerned over the issue of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Zohrabyan said she had been working in the standing committee on the European integration for nine years and is concerned as well.
“I realize there will be elections to the European Parliament in May, but if we had a really professional diplomatic corps, not diplomats the overwhelming majority of whom, most likely, were businessmen who were engaged in pursuing their personal business interests in different EU countries, perhaps “today we would have a completely different reality,” the MP explained.
She expressed hope that everything will be done to have CEPA ratified in the near future.
