The police and the National Security Service are no longer politicized structures, My Step bloc fraction head Lilit Makunts said in the Armenian National Assembly on Monday.

According to her, politicization of these structures is unacceptable and their transformation into ministries is highly undesirable.

“The main task of these structures is to defend the interests of the citizens of Armenia under any circumstances, but not representatives of any party or any person,” said the head of the faction, adding that they had not yet discussed yet whether these structures should be accountable to the Prime Minister or not.
