Three soldiers of the Russian base were killed, two injured as an armored personnel carrier fell off cliff in Abkhazia, the Southern Military District’s press service reported.

According to the source, the carrier fell off the cliff on January 18. The injured were hospitalized as a result of incident.

The commission of the military district regards the malfunction of equipment as one of the causes of the incident. According to another cause, the driver lost control.
