Workers of a new Oscar de la Renta boutique in Paris has found an oil painting of an elaborately dressed 17th century nobleman, the New York Times reported. 

Accordong to the source, it was painted by a significant artist Arnould de Vuez in 1674. The artist worked with the first court painter of King Louis XIV, Charles le Brun.

The owners of the building met with Oscar de la Renta CEO Alex Bolen. During the talks, he made a proposal to restore the painting at the expense of the company, whit the canvas will remain in the store.
