Iran is going to launch its second satellite into space, said Iranian Defense Minister Amir Khatami on Wednesday.

The first satellite has already been launched into space, while the second one would be launched soon, Tasnim News reported referring to the Minister. 

According to him, Iran is able to put satellites in the 260-kilometer orbit.  

Touching upon the launch of the Payam satellite as the satellite failed to reach the orbit in the final stage, the Iranian defense minister expressed hope for a solution to a technical problem soon.
