Chair of the Standing Parliamentary External Relations Committee Ruben Rubinyan received the Dutch Ambassador to Armenia Johannes Daum, Armenian Parliament’s press service reported.

The sides highlighted the importance of developing parliamentary relations between the two states, and noted the role of the foreign policy commission as the coordinating element of parliamentary diplomacy.

Touching upon Armenian foreign policy priorities’, Rubinyan noted, that Armenia builds relations with partner states based on the principle of reciprocity.

The sides also discussed the priority issues on the commission’s agenda, highlighting the implementation of more active parliamentary diplomacy through increased contacts and enhanced cooperation between the parliaments of the two states.

The parties also discussed issues related to the ratification process of the Armenia-EU deal. Rubinyan expressed hope for the ratification of the document as soon as possible.
