YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that one should not expect the opening of an alternative road to Upper Lars.

His remarks came during the meeting with a group of entrepreneurs within the framework of “My Step for Lori Province” forum held in Vanadzor.

One of the entrepreneurs noted that there are problems with the transportation of products, cars get stuck at the Lars checkpoint. “Are there any concrete results on the alternative road program with Georgia ?” the entrepreneur noted.

In response, Nikol Pashinyan reminded that the last stage of negotiations between Switzerland, Russia and Georgia took place a week ago. "Frankly speaking ... you know that the agreement was signed in 2011 and negotiations have been going on for 8 years now. The question has many political nuances, and I would not count too much on it. Now our partners from the Russian Federation are planning to expand the Russian section of Lars, ”said Nikol Pashinyan.
