The European Council President Donald Tusk said that the postponement of Brexit instead of the planned release date for UK from the EU on March 29 would be “a rational solution”, AP reported. 

“I believe that in the situation we are in, an extension would be a rational solution. All the 27 member states will show maximum understanding and goodwill,” Turks told reporters in Egypt.

According to him, he discussed with May the legal and political implications of a possible postponement of the UK two-year Brexit talks limit.
