The main attributes for starting the European Union (EU) visa liberalization talks with Armenia have not changed.

Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, Head of the Delegation  of the EU to Armenia, noted about the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

As per the EU envoy, the matter contains political and practical sides, in particular, and Armenian is informed about some EU members’ concerns with respect to the migration issue.

Świtalski noted that this is why he cannot specify a certain time frame for the start of these visa liberalization talks.

He added that even though the EU is positive about commencing the respective discourse, they are guided by a political decision, according to which this discourse is possible in case of a guarantee for well-managed flows, and contacts are useful for coming to this decision.
