A member of the Armenian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly touched upon the issue of misinformation in the media.

“And we agreed to seek a solution by joint efforts with the OSCE representatives,” Armenian MP Ani Samsonyan told reporters on Wednesday.

Samsonyan, who is a deputy from Bright Armenia faction, said she expressed readiness to participate in the work of the PA committee on human rights and humanitarian issues.

“In my first speech on media freedom, I noted that media is free in Armenia. My speech was also dedicated to the problem which we today call misinformation. I emphasized that any fight against misinformation and interference could damage the work of free media as the fourth power,” she said.
