Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian’s official visit to Tehran was received by the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s leader, Armenian Government’s press service reported.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, he was informed about the results of the talks between the presidents of the two states and expressed assistance to steps aimed at developing Armenian-Iranian comprehensive cooperation.

The sides highlighted the importance of expanding the economic component.

Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia is interested in the consistent development and expansion of relations with friendly Iran.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister touched upon the political processes in Armenia and the people's revolution. Ayatollah Khamenei noted that he closely followed the processes in Armenia that had passed peacefully and in accordance with democratic norms.

The sides touched upon the regional issues and agreed that a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is possible only by peaceful means.
