Armenia imports a quarter of products from the Eurasian Union member states, said the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan on Monday.

His remarks came at the meeting of the standing parliamentary committee on Regional Issues and Eurasian Integration.

According to him, it also includes energy resources, end-use products, and if Armenia had a direct border with the Eurasian Union member states, the movement of goods would be carried out without any restrictions.

“We import a quarter of all our imports from the Eurasian Union member states, which is about $1 billion 250 million,” the minister noted.

Khachatryan also touched upon the main activities of his department, including trade policy, relations connected with the free movement of goods and services, trade relations with third countries, as well as membership in the World Trade Organization, investment policy and so on.
