YEREVAN. – The Minister of Justice of Armenia, Artak Zeynalyan, on Monday received Christos Giakoumopoulos, Council of Europe (CoE) Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law.
They conferred on the effective execution of judgments by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), improvement of the quality of health care in Armenia’s prisons, and the development of probation service in the country, the Ministry of Justice informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In the minister’s words, the serving government bears accountability for the implementing of reforms in protection of human rights in Armenia, and the latter has a good standing at the CoE with respect to the execution of the ECHR judgments.
