Six months have passed, but the Tax Code, which businesses have been anticipating for such a long time, has yet to be improved since the six recommendations on reforms that were being implemented until then aren’t being approved in any way. This is what Deputy of the Prosperous Armenia Party Mikayel Melkumyan said during the hour of speeches at the National Assembly on 5 March.
According to the MP, two recommendations have already been rejected, and this is quite strange.
“Perhaps this is objective, but this means that, in this stage, the parliament isn’t able to make real and substantial amendments to the Tax Code,” Melkumyan said, calling on the parliament to give a clear response to investors in regard to the future of the Tax Code.
