A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out a series of sexual assaults in London, Sky News reported.

Metropolitan Police said the teenager was detained on Monday night after shop workers became suspicious.

He is being linked to a string of attacks on women in Penge, southeast London.

Police said the attacks happened between 9 and 28 February.

The victims were approached by a lone male who attacked before fleeing the scene.
