Zhoghovurd Daily writes: “The number of Iranian tourists visiting Armenia has considerably decreased. Zhoghovurd Daily found out about this from Armenia’s Statistical Committee. It turns out that last year, compared to the year 2017, the number of Iranian tourists decreased by 44.3%. Zhoghovurd Daily was informed that Iranian tourists have been preferring to spend their vacation in Georgia than in Armenia for the past two years since the services in Georgia are more affordable. Instead, the number of people visiting Armenia from Turkey has grown by 76.7%. The number of tourists from Russia has grown by 20.5%, and there are more tourists from Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands in Armenia,” writes the newspaper.
