I am aware that Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is dealing with the issue of having a national airline company. This is what Chairman of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Governance, Agriculture and Nature Protection of the National Assembly and Deputy of the ruling My Step Alliance Varazdat Karapetyan told journalists on 6 March.

Karapetyan recalled that a task force comprising field experts has been set up. “The task force is currently observing the laws of Armenia, neighboring countries and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, and I think we will see progress soon. Be rest assured that the government is dealing with this issue, and we all want Armenia to have its national airline company,” the MP said, noting that the existence of a national airline company is one of the foundations of national security.
