On 6 March at 15:50, officers of the Patrol Sentry Service platoon of the Mush police division apprehended a 20-year-old female citizen located at 4 P. Sevak Street, suspecting her of keeping and bearing illegal arms, reports the official website of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, according to NEWS.am.

After a search, an object similar to a Makarov type of pistol was found on the left side of the back of her belt. The magazine of the pistol contained a glandular filled with copper color pellets.

In regard to the item found, the citizen informed that it belonged to her father who was not in the country. She also informed that she had been keeping the pistol without telling her parents so that she could defend herself.

The circumstances are being clarified. A forensic ballistic expert examination has been designated. Investigation is underway.
