YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Foreign Relations should form a group and send it to Syria to visit the members of the Armenian humanitarian mission there.

Edmon Marukyan, Chairman of the Bright Armenia Party and head of the Bright Armenia faction in parliament, stated the aforementioned during Monday’s press briefing at the NA.

Also, he noted that even though his respective proposal was rejected at Monday’s closed meetings of the NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and on Defense and Security, an arrangement was made with respect to the use of some other levers of parliamentary oversight.

“[But] by and large, I can’t picture it,” Marukyan added. “If there is no such a visit, then I don’t even know what we should do.”
