Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan treats the current military drills in Azerbaijan very calmly. This is what member of the National Security Council of Armenia, Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan mentioned in an interview with Aysor.am on 12 March.

He stressed that there is no need to worry about the military drills.

When told that the Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense had declared that these military drills are being held in the context of the upcoming Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting, Davit Tonoyan said it is a possible option.

When asked why Azerbaijan is holding such military drills without notification, Davit Tonoyan said the following:

“Holding military drills is itself a violation of international commitments, but at this moment, Armenia fully oversees the pace of the military drills in Azerbaijan. There is no need to worry.”
