On 11 March, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom Arman Kirakossian had a meeting with Minister of State of the United Kingdom for Europe and the Americas Alan Duncan at the Foreign Office, reports the news service of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to NEWS.am.

Greeting the ambassador, Minister of State Duncan congratulated Arman Kirakossian on being appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom and wished him success in the implementation of his diplomatic mission.

At the ambassador’s request, Minister of State Duncan presented the situation of Brexit and the possible paths for development of the process.

Touching upon the Armenia-UK relations, the ambassador and minister of state shared the view that the relations are at a high level.

During the meeting, Arman Kirakossian presented the processes unfolding in Armenia and the Armenian government’s priorities, particularly the fight against corruption and the reforms being implemented in the economic sector, highlighting, in this context, the importance of the UK’s investments in Armenia.

The ambassador also presented Armenia’s approaches to and position on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as the latest developments related to the negotiation process.

Arman Kirakossian expressed gratitude to the minister of state for the programs being carried out by the UK in Armenia and stressed their importance for Armenia.
