The newly elected National Assembly of Armenia highly appreciates the mutually beneficial and mutually complementing cooperation, as well as the level of political dialogue with NATO and other partnering countries. This is what Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Affairs of the National Assembly, head of the Armenian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Deputy of the ruling My Step Alliance Andranik Kocharyan said in his welcoming remarks during the seminar entitled “Parliamentary Oversight over the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia” held at the National Assembly on 13 March.

Moreover, Kocharyan voiced hope that the meetings would be circumstantial and effective. “I hope these meetings promote more extensive and multilateral development of the bilateral relations. This can serve as a very helpful platform for working together, determining the wishes, as well as for planning and implementing certain objectives. I also attach great importance to the active participation of civil society in this event,” Kocharyan stated.
