The conflicts and problems in the region are not the same, and therefore, the foundations for the settlement of those conflicts and problems are not the same either. This is what President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian declared in the press release following his meeting with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili.

According to Sargsyan, Georgia shares this view.

“However, in my opinion, the solution needs to be found exclusively through a peaceful path, according to international law. In the case of Artsakh, it needs to be found on the basis of respect for the principle of the right of nations to self-determination,” the President emphasized.
