YEREVAN. – The Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, received Italian ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco.

In particular, the minister reflected on the productive cooperation between the two countries in road construction, and stressed Armenia’s wish for establishing and expanding partnership with Italy in high-tech industry, the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ambassador Del Monaco, in turn, noted that quite positive relations have been established between Armenia and Italy in various branches of economy, and stressed that there exist all the opportunities for making cooperation between the two countries grow deeper.

Arshakyan, for his part, highlighted that Armenia seeks a good partner in, and sees great potential for cooperation in high-tech industry with, Italian companies.

The interlocutors touched also upon the 2019 World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT), which Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan will host, from October 6 to 9. In this connection, the Armenian minister stressed he importance of respective Italian companies’ high-level participation in this event.
