YEREVAN. – Grand Holding held an opening ceremony of a residential building for its employees on March 18.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan, Chief Architect of Yerevan Arthur Meschian, owners of Grand Holding Mikael and Karen Vardanyan and many other guests. Memorable Hrant Vardanyan was the author of the building idea and project. The project was realized by his sons, owners of Grand Holding Mikael and Karen Vardanyan. The aim of the initiative is to solve the housing problems of the employees of Grand Holding companies.
Grand Holding owners did not pursue any profit. In a comfortable new building the apartments have been provided at a self-cost, without any prepayment and interest rate. Residents need to pay for housing within 12 years. The monthly fee is a small amount. Construction of a building located at Bagratunyats 47/2 began in April 2015 and was finished in May 2018.
During the last year, at residents’ request, in most of the apartments interior renovation works have been done. There are 104 apartments consisting from one to four rooms and 92 parking spaces in the building. It has 17 floors, 13 of which are residential, and three floors serve as a parking area. A new playground was built next to the building. For the construction of the building, Grand Holding has spent about $ 7 million. This is an example of the social housing construction within the framework of corporate responsibility.
