YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that he does not see any problem with with expanding the Security Council.
"Now we are working on this legislative package and there is a law that states that the Constitution of the Security Council is written under the subheading of the Government. If we make the NA Speaker a member of the Security Council, then, taking into account that the Chairman of the Security Council is the head of the government, the NA Speaker becomes mechanically subject to subordination. The same is true of the country's president. We bring the president to the government, and we put the prime minister to the head," he noted during the press conference.
Pashinyan mentioned that as an option the President of the Republic and the Speaker of the National Assembly can participate in the Security Council sessions as guests. " It would be much better for the NA Speaker and the President to participate in the Security Council sessions."
