YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, Tigran Balayan, on Thursday visited Groningen city where he met with Mayor Peter den Oudsten.

The ambassador presented the reforms being implemented in Armenia, and pointed to the importance of international partner’s respective assistance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

They discussed the prospects for decentralized cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands, the opportunities for introducing in Armenia the Dutch track-record in urban economy management, as well as information technology and education cooperation.

Also, Ambassador Balayan was hosted by the University of Groningen where he presented to its library about five dozen books in English and Dutch, and regarding Armenia, pan-Armenian matters, and Dutch Armenians.

Subsequently, Tigran Balayan delivered a lecture before the students of the department of international relations of this university, and presented the domestic and foreign policies of Armenia.
