The Indian and Pakistani PMs exchanged well-meaning messages as a sign of the reduction in tensions between the two nuclear powers, the Associated Press reported.

The head of the Indian government, Narendra Modi, expressed best wishes to his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan on the occasion of Pakistan Day, which is celebrated today, March 23.

In turn, Khan reacted quite favorably, calling on the Indian Prime Minister to be engaged in a comprehensive dialogue on all issues, including the problem of the Kashmir province disputed by both countries.

As reported earlier, the tension between Pakistan and India was caused by a suicide attack on 40 Indian soldiers in the territory controlled by India in Kashmir province.

The Indian Air Force launched an air attack against Pakistan, claiming that its target was the militants accused of attacking.

In retaliation, Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force aircraft. One of the pilots was captured, and later returned to India.
